About
Community, not clinic.
A children’s mental health and family support nonprofit in Rockland County. Licensed clinicians, skills coaches and parent advocates who work in homes, schools and neighborhoods, in the language your family speaks.
Our story
Why Rising Child exists.
Rising Child Center, Inc. was founded in 2025 with one job: bring New York State’s children’s mental health framework into the places children actually live. Homes. Classrooms. The park down the block.
Too many families here were driving across town to a clinic for problems that happen at the kitchen table, in the classroom or on the way to the bus. So the care was built to travel instead: licensed clinicians, skills coaches and parent advocates who work where a child’s day actually happens, in the language the family speaks at home.
A new building in Suffern is under construction for the things that do need a home: childcare, early intervention and a family hub. The new center is under construction.
Our approach
Four things we hold to.
Community, not clinic
Care where your child lives, learns and plays. Clinics have their place; a kitchen table is where most of a child’s life happens.
The family is part of the team
Plans are written with parents, not for them. Parents who have been through it support parents who are in it.
Your language
Care in the language your family thinks in: Yiddish, English, Spanish and more.
No wrong door
A parent, a teacher, a pediatrician, a care manager. Whoever calls first, the child gets seen.
Leadership and team
The people responsible.
By design, no photos. Many families and staff in our community prefer it that way.
